The Baseball Guy

     Hey everyone! I'm AJ...better known as "The Baseball Guy." From the little league fields of Boston to NAIA college ball (and now to Colorado), baseball's always been a huge part of my life. After a knee injury ended my playing days, I didn't leave the game...I just traded my catcher's mitt for a pen.
       Growing up, I modeled my game after great catchers like Mike Piazza, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Varitek, while marveling at the speed and grace of Ken Griffey Jr. Off the field, I was raised a diehard Red Sox fan, spending countless summer nights at Fenway Park.

      My lifelong passion led me to collecting baseball memorabilia and, eventually, sports journalism. What started as a weekly high school newspaper column has evolved into an online community and membership in the Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA).
      I continue to share my love for the game that's given me so much through my blog and on social media--and as of April 2026, I'm officially working on my first baseball book.
